My artistic process is very inconsistent. I’ve never considered myself much of a “painter,” and most of the favorite works I’ve ever produced were spur of the moment. Some pieces didn’t even take 15 minutes to complete. Some took much more. I always try and create ‘visual representations’ of what I am feeling at that time, by manipulating colors and mixed media to trigger an emotion or a memory that means something to me in that current state.
For me, the process of creating something is more important than the finished product.
If you put nothing into what you make, then what you make is nothing. Art isn’t about anyone else, it’s only about you – so make it mean something.
